David, I've been on this forum long enough to know that you are not trying to attack my statements, but only trying to justify and understand them.
I, OTOH, am not interested in explaining or rationalizing the situation.
All I can say is, those were the facts when I checked the pressures before leaving in the mornings, and using the same gauge, but absolutely NOT at the same time of day.
There could easily have been 15-20 degrees temperature difference from one measurement location to the other, but I could not say for sure. The times could range from 4 AM to noon, with the attendant temperature differences.
It may not make empirical sense, but that's the way it was, Labor Day weekend, 2002. Now back to you, David
