I know Farson is definitely on the way to Jackson, so it will be a primary stop that afternoon on the way up.

We're planning on taking 4 days to get to CCR (leaving on Saturday and arriving on Tuesday). We're going to spend the time riding through all those great roads in Colorado - CO 149 between South Fork and Gunnison, CO 92 over the north rim of the Black Canyon, CO 65 over Grand Mesa, and CO 141 through Delores Canyon and Gateway. Once we're done in Colorado, we'll make our way up through Utah via Vernal and the Flaming Gorge area on UT 44 and UT 43. Of course, we'll be stopping in Farson for some ice cream. |

I was just researching the route I plan on taking to CCR from the DFW area to Jackson Lake Lodge. Since we plan on taking 4 days (Sat-Tue) on our trek to CCR, I wanted to maximize the scenic riding through Northern New Mexico, Western Colorado, Northeastern Utah, and Western Wyoming. During my search, I came across the Americas Byways at http://www.byways.org/ . Go to the site, click on the states you will travel through, and you'll get a listing of the various byway routes.
